I've been soloing the demon boss spawns since the rework. And honestly, I greatly prefer darklight to the drygore mace. I use an offhand drygore rapier. The difference is very very noticeable. The spec is also extremely important. The only thing it's bad at is the imps. They're harder to hit than the boss itself after you've spec'd it a few times.
